Our Philosophy

Edmond Memorial is a traditional high school with a progressive outlook. EMHS works in conjuction with the community to develop a basic curriculum and ancillary programs that support each learner in the pursuit of academic excellence and personal growth. Edmond Memorial High School seeks to provide the highest quality education and student life experiences in a safe learning environment that fosters individuality, encourages positive respect, and promotes responsibility through learner participation to successfully meet future challenges.

EMHS will provide a general education program based upon characteristics, current needs, and future plans of the student population. The school, in partnership with the community that it serves, will continually evaluate the effectiveness of its programs and services on the premises of this philosophy.
