EDMOND NORTH COLLEGE NIGHT

 

Edmond North will be hosting a College Night Program for sophomores, juniors, seniors and their parents.  The program will be Tuesday night, September 14th at 7:00 pm in Edmond North's Auditorium.  Representatives from OU, OSU, UCO, OCU, OCCC and Francis Tuttle will be our presenters for the evening.  A questions and answer session will follow. Parents will have an opportunity to pick up university and college information from tables in the foyer of the auditorium.

 

 

Edmond Exchange Club Youth of the Month

 

Attention Seniors!!!

 

Applications for Edmond Exchange Club Youth of the Month are now available in the counseling office.  Senior Students are selected based on their academic achievement, community involvement, and leadership abilities.  Applications may be picked up in the counseling office.  Two students will be selected for this award.  Return your application packet to the counseling office.  Packets will be picked up Wednesday, September 29th.     

YOUTH  LEADERSHIP EDMOND

 

YLE is a Leadership Program for Juniors to provide an opportunity to develop leadership skills. 

 

Interested students should:

  • Demonstrate leadership potential and desire to develop additional leadership skills
  • Express an interest in gaining knowledge of the Edmond Community
  • Commit to full participation in Youth Leadership Edmond. 
  • Applicants must possess at least a 3.0 G.P.A.

 

Selection is a two-step process. 

Final Selection is based upon the application and the interview.

Youth Leadership Exchange

 

Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors……

 

Youth Leadership Exchange applications are available in the counseling office.

 

YLX offers two yearlong programs. 

 

Leadership Skills, is for students 10-11 interested in learning leadership techniques. 

 

Youth in Action, is for seniors.  It is designed to teach community involvement.   

 

If selected, you will attend Leadership Skills sessions monthly.

 

Applications and recommendation forms must be postmarked or hand-delivered to the YLX office by September 10, 2010.

New Student Enrollment
Students new to our community will enroll with our Registrar, Traci Hunter. You will need a mortgage/deed/lease and utility bill with current address to prove residency; birth certificate, shot record, withdrawal form and transcript from previous school, and any custody or medical information we may need. If you have any questions regarding enrollment please contact Traci Hunter at 405-715-6332.

College Visits:
Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays during tutorial from 9:40 to 10:00am, college recruiters come to visit our students. These recruiters share information regarding their institution with our interested students. These scheduled visits are announced daily and posted on the televisions in the halls.

Juniors will be allowed two days for college visits per year. Seniors are allowed four days for college visits per year. These days will not be counted against exemptions or attendance. The student must have a parent call the attendance office on the day of the visit then provide documentation of the visit upon return to school.  

Driver's Letter for Student Permit

Student's that are testing to receive their permit must have a school letter proving enrollment and an eighth grade reading proficiency. The letter is sealed by the school, the Department of Motor Vehicles asks for the original embedded seal, therefore we cannot provide the letter by fax or email.  Your student may request  and pick up their completed drivers letter in the 10th-12th grade counseling center.

Letter is available for pick up after 24 hours unless otherwise advised.
