 Mr. Hunter: Profile Minimize

Mr. Brian Hunter originally comes from Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  Growing up on the bayou (suburban Baton Rouge) gave a young Mr. Hunter a love for southern cooking and the warm oceans of the Gulf.  However, the majority of Mr. Hunter's life has been spent in "Native America."  As an 17 year resident of Tulsa, Mr. Hunter attend Union Public Schools, where he first discovered his innate love of learning and his subsequent desire to teach.  After graduating from Union High School, Mr. Hunter went on to attend Oklahoma State University, earning his B.A. in English.  Shortly after, Mr. Hunter started working for Edmond Public Schools as a freshman English teacher at Edmond North High School.  A few years later, Mr. Hunter began teaching sophomores and earned his M.A. in Composition and Rhetoric from the University of Central Oklahoma.  Currently, he is in his 7th year at North, teaching AP Language and Composition and Student Council.  When Mr. Hunter isn't grading essays or thinking up devious assignments to undermine the social lives of his students, he can be found in the clear mountain streams surrounding Gunnison, CO, building his reputation as a legendary fisherman and outdoorsman.
