   Zeros Aren’t Permitted (ZAP)

Starting the week of Monday,  February 8th, Summit will be starting a new program designed to assist students in assignment completion.  The program is called ZAP.  ZAP will be offered on Tuesday and Thursday of each week from 2:30-4:30 and district transportation is available.   Students who do not have their assignment/homework for the day will immediately make a call to a parent/guardian letting them know of the missing assignment and the need to attend ZAP.    If the assignment is not turned in to the teacher by the assigned ZAP day, students will attend the after-school-program.  Parent contact will be made prior to all ZAP placements.  It is our goal that students complete their assignments on a regular basis to help ensure students are learning and mastering the identified objective.

Middle School Schedule

During the February 1st School Board Meeting, the 2010-2011 Middle School Schedule Proposal was pulled from the board agenda.  Members of the school board have requested more information and input from all stakeholders.  Per their request, a committee will be formed to further research this proposal.  Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Student attendance is now appearing in the PIV program.  Please be aware that attendance information is updated at the end of the day.   Also, if a student has been absent, grades will not be accurate until the student returns and makeup work is completed.
