THE OPPORTUNITY
A Birthday is a very special occasion. We invite you to honor your child by commemorating this important event with the gift of a book to your child's school library media center. Books are fitting tributes to the people or events which can be remembered. Ideas in books live on after the birthday cake is gone.
THE OCCASION
Whatever the interests of your child... they can be promoted
and shared through a gift to your school library. Gift books add a particular richness to the collection. Those selected for tributes are limited to those which meet Edmond Public School Selection Standards.
WHAT TO DO
If you would like to make a gift, you can select a book from the Birthday Book Club Bookshelf. This shelf is located in your school library media center. The books have been 
selected by the school librarian to cover a wide range of interests and reading abilities. After you and your child have selected the book, a bookplate will be placed in the book. We will add this book to the circulating library collection. Books may be placed in the library to honor your child, the child's parents or grandparents.
