New Edmond residents who need to enroll their children in Edmond Public Schools before the start of the 2017-2018 school year should plan to visit the district’s centralized enrollment center during the weeks of July 10-13 and July 17-20 at Edmond Memorial High School, 1000 E. 15th.
The enrollment center is located in the Welcome Center from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday-Thursday. The center also will assist current students who have moved into a different attendance area.
Documentation needed at the time of enrollment includes two verifiable proofs of residency, a legal birth certificate, immunization records and a photo ID of the parent or guardian.
To speed up the enrollment process, parents are encouraged to download and complete the necessary forms in advance. Those forms can be found under the Parents/Students tab of the website.
If parents or guardians need to enroll children in the Edmond district after the enrollment center closes, or if they are enrolling using a residency affidavit (staying in temporary housing), they should go to their child’s individual school. Elementary schools will reopen August 7 and middle schools will reopen July 21. High Schools remain open during the summer from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday but are closed from 11:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for lunch.
For more information about the centralized enrollment center, call 726-7900 or 726-7901.
