Clubs, Activities, and Organizations
BPA stands for Business Professionals of America. We are here to give you a little taste of the business world. We have meetings, conferences, and activities to keep everyone active.
COMPUTER CLUB
The Computer Club is an organization for students with a
keen interest in tomorrow’s technology. It
promotes the advancement of knowledge and understanding of computers.
The club provides an opportunity to learn more about computers, educate
those with less understanding about computers, discuss the new technological
trends, and to have fun.
DECA MARKETING CLUB
DECA is the student organization for everyone who enrolls in
Marketing Fundamentals, Entrepreneurship, and Business Management.
Members have opportunities to take field trips to local and out-of-state
business, attend leadership training, participate in local, state, and national
competitions, work on community service projects, attend monthly meetings, and
run the DECA Cookie Shop. DECA’s
goal is to encourage students to develop skills that will help them succeed in
the business world in the 21st century.
If you want to start preparing for your future, travel and have fun, this
is the club for you!
DRAMA CLUB
This club’s purpose is for the promotion of theatre arts at Santa Fe and within the community. Their sponsor is Catherine Johnston. All Santa Fe students who are interested in theatre are invited to join. There is a $5.00 membership fee.
FFA
FFA is a fun and exciting organization.
FFA offers an endless variety of activities and competitive programs.
The student will have a chance to make his/her own money to spend as
he/she chooses. The local chapter
helps to sharpen leadership and communication skills and to gain self-confidence
and respect. Activities such as
leadership camps, livestock showing, speech contests, state and national
conventions, judging contests, chapter meetings, community service projects, and
motivational conferences provide endless opportunities for leadership,
competition, recognition, service, careers, scholarships, travel, and fun.
FCCLA
Family, Career & Community Leaders of America is a vocational education
student organization that functions as an integral part of the family and
consumer science education curriculum. It
expands leadership potential and develops skills for life such as: planning,
goal setting, problem solving, decision
making and interpersonal communication. This
club’s central focus is the family. Activities
include community service projects.
FRENCH CLUB
The French Club is open to all students.
The main aspects are to learn about French customs and culture.
It is also geared toward fun and fellowship.
Some social activities include pizza parties, secret pals, going to
Blazer hockey games, progressive dinners, ice skating, teaching elementary
school students, and going to a French restaurant.
GERMAN CLUB
The German Club is composed of students enrolled in German
classes. The club provides those
students the opportunity to learn more about the German language and culture and
to participate in various school and social activities that include going to Old
Germany Restaurant, German Octoberfest, and immersion.
KEY CLUB
Key Club is the largest community service organization of
its kind with over 140,000 members in approximately 4,000 clubs.
It is sponsored by the Edmond Kiwanis Club whose members are leading
business and professional people from our community.
Key Club is open to all qualified students.
Annual dues are $12.00 per member.
LATIN CLUB
The JCL/Latin Club is open to all Latin students, past and
present, who are interested in the cultures of Ancient Rome and Greece.
Members participate in toga-making parties, Roman banquets, the Greek
festival, Classics Days at OU, and many other educational and social activities.
The highlight of each year is attending the two-day convention in April.
The convention consists of several competitions on both an individual and
team basis—academic, track and field, swimming, arts, crafts, costumes,
oratory, dramatic interpretation. It
is the club’s attempt to recreate the Olympic spirit among students of the
classics in Oklahoma. CARPE DIEM!

MATH CLUB
Math Club is open to any student interested in math.
Its purpose is to connect math to everyday life and to allow students to
participate in problem-solving challenges on the state and national level.
MU ALPHA THETA
Mu Alpha Theta is a nationally recognized math honor
society. Students must be enrolled
in or have completed Algebra II, have an overall 3.0 G.P.A., and maintain a 3.5
G.P.A in math classes.
MULTI-CULTURAL CLUB
The mission of the Multi-Cultural Club is to provide and
assist all students with acquiring knowledge of the heritages and legacies of
the different cultures and life-styles of students in the school and community.
By doing this we hope that all cultures will gain a mutual admiration and
respect for each other. The Board
of Cultures will be nominated during club meetings.
Membership cost is $5.00 per year.
NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY
National Honor Society is an honor and service organization for juniors and seniors. Students are eligible for induction after completing three semesters of high school and must meet the following criteria:
maintain a 3.5 g.p.a
demonstrate leadership by active participation in at least two clubs or organizations
have no office disciplinary referrals
SADD (Students Against
Destructive Decisions)
The goals of SADD are to prevent underage drinking, drug and
tobacco use, and to prevent driving and drinking at any age.
Members are encouraged to sign a “Contract For Life,” indicating you
won’t drink and drive. All students are welcome to join. The club meets monthly and membership cost is $5.00 per year.
SCIENCE CLUB
The purpose of the Science Club is to stimulate interest in
the fields of science and engineering and to provide support to those students
who participate in scientific research. Activities
may include scheduled tours, fieldtrips, and fundraisers for the Science Club.
Spanish club is a Club committed to recognizing and celebrating Spanish culture and language. Their sponsors are Jennifer Lamb, Taja DiFrancesco, Jeff Nemcok. The officers are Kenny Scott, President; Gina Leger, Vice-President; Chen Lin, Treasurer; Kelly Porter, Secretary/Historian. Who Can Join? Anyone interested in Spanish Culture or Language. Activity mtg time is 1st Thursday of Every Month in the Cafeteria. The cost to join is $6.00 paid to any Spanish teacher at Santa Fe.
Stomp Team
Stomp Team is an organization that does shows and teaches the team members how to stomp. It is a competitive team that participates in competitions in many different places.
WOOD TECH CLUB
The Wood Tech Club is open to any student who has had or is
enrolled in a Woodshop class. This
is a social club that will put its unique talents to work for the school and
community.
