SCHOOL AND COMMUNITY

Edmond Santa Fe High School provides a challenging and comprehensive curriculum which prepares students for opportunities beyond high school.  Santa Fe is located in Edmond, Oklahoma, a suburban community just north of Oklahoma City with a population of over 70,000. Edmond is the fastest growing city in Oklahoma.  The high school opened in 1993, and presently has an enrollment of approximately 1800 students in grades 9-12.  The community is composed of a majority of families with parents who are college graduates with professional and semi-professional occupations.  The ethnic background of the school population consists of 17.3 percent African American, 4.3 percent Native American, 4.1 percent Hispanic American, 4.2 percent Asian American, 1.2 percent other, and 69 percent Caucasian.

 

Edmond Santa Fe is a four-year public high school accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools.  Of the 114 faculty members, 33% have graduate degrees.
