Edmond Public Schools is blessed to enjoy strong relationships with scores of community partners. These partnerships allow us to provide enhanced services to our students and their families.
Edmond Police
EPS partners with Edmond Police to provide security in our schools. Each high school has two School Resource officers. In addition, our alternative high school has a full-time School Resource Officer. A full-time SRO rotates among the five Edmond middle schools. An officer from the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office serves Summit Middle School which is located in the Edmond school district but Oklahoma City Limits.
Edmond Family Counseling
The EFC is a long-time partner with EPS in collaborating to identify, implement, and encourage a wide range of counseling opportunities for children, including topics ranging from confidence to depression and anxiety to family issues.
Mercy Hospital
Mercy and its caring staff members have allowed us to better meet the needs of students who experience anxiety, depression, drug addiction, or suicidal ideation. Call SAM (Student Assistance by Mercy) is a 24-hour helpline that allows our students and their families to get assistance any time day or night. Call SAM is 1-855-225-2726.
YMCA
EPS, the YMCA, and the City of Edmond collaborated to open the Edmond Recreation and Aquatic Center. The state-of-the-art facility features an 8-lane, 50-meter swimming pool. For the first time since the 1970s, district swimmers practice and compete in one location.
Edmond Fine Arts Institute
The Fine Arts Institute is a partner in our “Art in Schools” program which is a joint endeavor to provide art education for students in third and fourth grade at seven different elementary schools. Sites selected for this project are Title 1 schools and serve many students who do not have access to outside art enrichment experiences. In addition to funding from Edmond Public Schools and the Fine Arts Institute, grants to support this program have been received from the following:
