For the second year running, the Oklahoman has named Edmond Public Schools one of the state’s “Top Workplaces.” The district was named among the state’s top 15 large employers with 350 or more employees.

The Top Workplaces lists are based solely on the results of an employee feedback survey administered by WorkplaceDynamics, LLC, an independent research firm that specializes in organizational health and workplace improvement. Several aspects of workplace culture were measured, including alignment, execution, and connection, just to name a few.

“Our district is fortunate to have employees who exhibit tremendous passion and dedication to their craft to advance student learning and achievement,” said Superintendent Bret Towne. “They perform their duties with integrity and authenticity and we owe this honor to them.”

Edmond Public Schools is the largest full-time employer in Edmond with 2776 employees.

“To be a Top Workplace, organizations must meet our strict standards for organizational health. And who better to ask about work life than the people who live the culture every day—the employees. Time and time again, our research has proven that what’s most important to them is a strong belief in where the organization is headed, how it’s going to get there, and the feeling that everyone is in it together,” said Doug Claffey, CEO of WorkplaceDynamics.
