Edmond Public Schools will open its online application period for 2019-2020 pre-k programs Feb. 18-March 1. Children who are four-years-old but not older than five-years-old on or before Sept. 1, 2019, are eligible for the programs which are available on a space available basis.
All elementary schools, with the exception of Clegern Elementary and Russell Dougherty Elementary which are choice schools, will have a free full-day pre-k offering. Half-day pre-k sections will be offered at Clyde Howell, Centennial, Cross Timbers, John Ross and Northern Hills.
Applications can be accessed beginning Feb. 18 by going here. All applications must be received before 4:00 p.m., Friday, March 1. Once the application window closes, a random drawing will be held to fill the available spaces. Parents of children who are placed into a pre-k program will be notified on March 6. There is no bus transportation available for pre-k students. Parents are responsible for their children’s transportation to and from schools.
When enrolling online, parents should choose between the half-day program or the full day program. Both programs are free. Information on pre-k curriculum, objectives and immunization requirements can also be found here.
