Have you heard? Edmond has another student who scored a perfect 36 on the ACT College Entrance Exam. This time, it’s Santa Fe High School sophomore, David Yao.

“To score a perfect 36 on the ACT is particularly remarkable because as a sophomore, David still has two years of high school material he has yet to study,” said Debbie Bendick, associate superintendent of secondary education for Edmond Public Schools.

When David checked his score it was late…around midnight. “I started yelling really loudly,” he said. “I was excited!”

This was the first time that David has taken the test in high school. He prepared by asking his older brother for help, completing practice tests and focusing on completing his homework.

David is active in orchestra, Double Wolf Dare Week and is well-known for his exceptional card tricks.
