The deadline for switching from Virtual Edmond to the district’s A/B model of instruction is midnight, Wednesday, September 2.
Parents should take the time to visit with their children about their experience so far. If, after visiting, they determine that Virtual Edmond is not the best learning option for them and they would like for them to switch to the A/B schedule (two days of in-person learning and three days of remote learning), parents should fill out the appropriate form below and submit it by midnight September 2.
“While the district has made progress this first week in solving some unexpected implementation problems, we realize we still have work to do,” said Superintendent Bret Towne. “We are committed to resolving the remaining technology and email response issues to provide Virtual Edmond students with an excellent online education. “
It is vital to understand that once the September 2 deadline passes, Virtual Edmond students must remain in the program for the entire semester and will not be able to return to their brick and mortar school even if the number of COVID-19 cases drops significantly, and the district is able to safely return to in-person learning five days a week.
