Edmond Public Schools has announced its 2021-2022 Site Teachers of the Year. The recipients were selected by their peers.

Superintendent Angela Grunewald said the teachers represent the best of the best.

“I am always astonished at the level of commitment from our teachers, but never more so than during these past few years,” said Grunewald. “They have had to adapt to new and innovative ways to deliver instruction while juggling multiple variables brought about by the Covid 19 pandemic. I applaud each of them for their tenacity and grace under pressure.”

Taylor Figueroa – Heritage speech pathologist

Cindy Rosario – Ida Freeman fourth-grade

Julie Hutson  – John Ross second-grade teacher

Alanna Milligan – Northern Hills second-grade teacher

Debra Wood – Orvis Risner gifted and talented teacher

Megan Price – Redbud counselor

Suzette Mangrum – Russell Dougherty third grade teacher

Pamela Sandlin – Virtual Edmond secondary math and science teacher

One of the 30 site teachers of the year will be named the 2021-2022 Edmond Teacher of the Year next spring.
