The 7th and 8th grade team brought home a trophy last Saturday and are advancing to the State competition, largely due to June Frost being ON FIRE with her 250 points for the day, answering questions such as “What was Calvin Coolidge’s middle name?”

Congratulations Josiah Gilbert-Byers for winning 2nd place in the 2025 "If I Were a Mayor" Essay Contest. The Mayors Council of Oklahoma and the Oklahoma Municipal League invited 8th graders throughout Oklahoma to participate in the statewide essay contest. The contest gave students a chance to creatively use cognitive, language arts, and social studies language skills to tell others what they would do as Mayor to make their city a better place to live. Josiah received a monetary prize and a certificate of recognition at the Oklahoma State Capitol on February 7, 2025, during the Annual Congress of Mayors. He and Edmond Mayor Darrell Davis then posed for photographs.
