
Cheyenne's 6th-graders participated in a "Book Sellers Event" on March 11th and 12th. The 6th grade Literacy students spent 9-weeks reading an individual novel. The students then created a store front to "sell" their book to the other team!

The 6th grade social called, "Get Your Glow On!" will be held in the gym on February 29th from 2:30 - 4:00 PM. Wristbands for the event will be sold during lunch Feb. 27 - 29th. The wristbands are $5 each. Come join in on the fun with inflatables, glow games, music, snacks, and raffle prizes!


No school on February 19th. Faculty and staff will have a professional development day.


Congratulations Teagan Warford for being accepted into the American Association of University Women’s Girls’ Hall of Honor!
Edmond middle school teachers were tasked with nominating 7th-grade girls who exemplify strong leadership qualities. After learning more about the nominated students, the AAUW committee members then picked one girl from each middle school to honor at a reception on March 3, 2024. The honorees will then be featured in the display case in the lobby of the Edmond Public Library during the month of March – Women’s History Month.


Because of icy and dangerous road conditions, Edmond Public Schools will move to remote learning for all schools for Monday, January 22nd. Students should refer to information sent by their school site for assignments that will need to be completed for attendance to be counted.


Due to inclement weather, all Edmond Public Schools will move to remote learning for Tuesday, January 16th.

Winter fine arts concerts are coming soon. Dec. 7th, the orchestra will perform at North High School at 6:30 PM. Dec. 11, the band will play at North High School at 6:30 PM. Dec. 18, vocal music will perform at Cheyenne at 6PM. We hope to see you there!


Candy Grams will be sold during lunch Dec. 11-15 for $1 each. Surprise your friends with a Candy Gram that will be delivered to them on Dec. 20th.


School will be closed for Winter Break Dec. 21 - Jan. 5th and for a Professional Development Day on Jan. 8th. Students return to campus on Tues., Jan. 9th, 2024.

Veterans Day was celebrated on Friday, November 10th with a reception for the veterans and their families followed by an assembly with the 8th-grade class. Army Sgt. Jacob Brewer was our special guest speaker. Cheyenne was honored to meet a WWII veteran, Harold Aldrich. He served in the U.S. Navy on the U.S.S. Gantner. Thank you to all who served! Cheyenne's Student Council is accepting donations for the Thanksgiving Food Drive Monday, Nov. 13TH - Friday, Nov. 17TH. All donations help families in need!
Some needed items:
Cereal, granola bars, Pop-Tarts, oatmeal, pancake/muffin mix, peanut butter, jelly, pudding, cans of soup, cans of vegetables, pasta sauce, pasta noodles, and non-perishable snack foods


On Oct. 30th & 31st, Cheyenne's 8th-graders toured the Oklahoma City National Memorial and Museum to remember those who were killed, those who survived, and those whose lives were changed forever.



Cheyenne will be closed Oct. 19th & 20th for Fall Break and Oct. 23rd for a Staff Development day.


Treat yourself to new books at the Scholastic Book Fair in the Cheyenne Media Center from Oct. 25 - 31 st. The Book Fair is open from 8:10 – 2:15 PM Wednesday – Monday (closed over the weekend), and from 8:10 – noon on Tuesday (10/31).

Join us October 12 or 16th for a Parent/Teacher Conference. The conference will be a come and go event from 3:30 - 7PM.
