EPS recently announced an incentive for our substitute teachers aimed at getting more of our classrooms covered each day. Between now and the end of the school year, any sub who works six or more days in a pay period will receive an extra $100 for that pay period. There’s no limit to the number of times a sub may qualify for that payment. We hope this will help by encouraging our subs to work a few extra days to increase our fill rate.
No prior experience needed
No teaching certificate required
Flexible work schedule
Ability to choose your schools
Training provided
First-time applicants will need to create an account while returning applicants will be required to sign in to access the previously-created application for review and updates.
Substitutes must be 21 years old and complete annual paperwork and tutorials. New substitutes are required to attend orientation. In addition, all subs must have a clear Oklahoma State Department of Education (OKSDE) criminal history report on file.
EPS requires substitutes to attend an orientation that provides important information about classroom readiness. New Sub Orientation is held at the EPS Administration Center, 1001 W. Danforth Road, in the Board of Education Building Conference Rooms at the south end of the building. A link to attend the two-hour, in-person training will be included in the New Substitute onboarding tasks.
The Substitute Handbook is designed to provide you with valuable information about the practices, policies, responsibilities, and benefits of EPS. Please take time to read this handbook.
