SESSIONS:

Dance & Sing! with Hannah Hale
Sessions 3 & 4, Grades 2nd-5th
This week will be filled with different styles of dance paired with learning more about the music we will dance to! Each day will be a different style of dance and music! We will also play singing games and instruments. Cannot wait to move, sing, and dance with you soon!. Must have 10 students for the class to make.


Cultures of the World with Lisa Parmer
Session 2, Grades 3rd-5th
Come explore the world with me! We will visit many countries from around the world and learn about their culture through history, art, music, dance, language, and cuisine. We'll "travel" to countries from almost every continent, from Australia to Greece, Egypt to Russia and places in between! We'll play cultural children's games, learn traditional dances, create beautiful art, listen to music, and even learn to speak phrases from each country! I can't wait to discover the world with you! Must have 10 students for the class to make.


Fun Run & Games! with Michelle Berte
Sessions 1, 2, 3, 4, Grades 4th & 5th
Learn to run in a way that will encourage you to run more often! We will learn the physics and body mechanics of running, learn to run from your core, how to manage your energy efficiently, warm ups/stretches, and practice a holistic approach to running.  Students will learn form, technique, breathing, hills, speed, how to move mindfully, and practice their skills during the week. We will do a video analysis of each runner's form and learn to make adjustments in real time to prevent injury and enjoy running. Lace up your trainers and prepare for fun!. Must have 10 students for the class to make.


Reading, Storytelling, and Story Writing  with Preston Poe
Sessions 1, 2, 3, 4 Grades 1st-5th
Storytelling is a fun way to approach creative writing. We will take a look at a few basic approaches to storytelling and learn some techniques that will make our stories more interesting, fun, and exciting. Together we will explore fun and classic stories old and new, spend time reading together and individually, writing and sharing our stories aloud and on paper. Must have 10 students for the class to make.


Farm To Table with Marlena Butler & Laura Scott
Sessions 1, 2, 3, 4, Grades Kindergarten-5th
In this interactive course, students will learn the importance of farming while growing their own plants and cooking foods. We will take our farm to the table with homemade foods while growing our knowledge in math, reading, science and economics. Students will learn how farms support our communities, how to grow their own ingredients in practical ways, and then how to use those ingredients in the kitchen. 
Week 1: The Breakfast Club - We will bring the farm to table with breakfast foods this week.
Week 2: Lunch Bunch - We will bring the farm to table with lunch foods this week
Week 3: Snack, Crackle, Pop - We will bring the farm to table with snack foods this week.
Week 4: This week takes the cake - We will bring the farm to table with dessert foods this week. 
Must have 20 students for the class to make.


Mindful Make & Takes with Katie Luna & Krystal Williams

Sessions 3 & 4, Grades 3rd-5th
Do you like dressing in comfy clothes and doing yoga? Do you like making crafts that would help you be less stressed? If the answer is yes, then Mindful Make- N-Takes is the summer school class for you! In this class, we will start off our time unwinding and learning some different mindfulness techniques/exercises. We will then be creating a different craft that you can make and take home with you. By the time you leave, you will have crafts and a toolbox full of strategies to help you be more relaxed and less stressed in your everyday life! Must have 20 students for the class to make.


Recycled & Environmental Art with Linda Lyle
Sessions 1 & 3, Grades 2nd-5th
One man's "Trash" is an Artist's "Opportunity". In this class we will use things from nature and Items most people would dispose of to create art. Join us for lots of fun filled creative experiences that will leave you inspired!  Must have 10 students for the class to make.


Camp Music with Janna O’Connor & Laura Wheeler
Sessions 1, 2, 3, 4, Grades Kindergarten-5th
Join us in our "Singing Tent" for songs, skits, crafts, and S'Mores. All ages welcome! Must have 20 students for the class to make.


The Artistic Eye with Kelly Labeth
Sessions 1, 2, 3, 4, Grades 3rd-5th
Extend and build on Art Skills and Elements that help develop the ability to see what is being drawn, and have fun through a progressive  "Craft Lesson", ie.  Papier Mache.  This is your chance to do something new! Must have 10 students for the class to make.


Mixed Media Art with Bailey Arvizo

Sessions 2, 3, 4, Grades 4th-5th
Students will learn and use a variety of mixed media techniques in order to create an art journal. Must have 10 students for the class to make.


Basketball Fundamentals with Brandon Andrews
Sessions 1, 2, 3, 4, Grades Kindergarten-5th
Students will learn the fundamentals of the game of basketball. We will be working on dribbling, shooting, passing, and teamwork. Must have 10 students for the class to make.
