Edmond Early College Start Program
A partnership with the University of Central Oklahoma (UCO).
The Edmond Early College Start Program allows students the opportunity to earn a high school diploma and credits towards an associates degree, free of charge. The partnership with UCO provides students a cohort environment with their peers, the support they need to succeed in high school and college, and access to UCO facilities.
Application information:
Must be an 8th grade student during the 2024-2025 school year
Must submit an application (see application button)
Must submit an application for Oklahoma's Promise
Must qualify for free/reduced lunch, Oklahoma's Promise, or be a first-generation student.
Edmond Early College Program Resources
Edmond Early College students will be assigned to an Career Counselor as well as an UCO Early Start Success Coach. These people will be their go-to person for anything related to the Early College Program.
The Career Counselor and Coach will assist students in the following ways:
To guide students through the correct course sequence
Administer grade checks throughout the semester to help ensure student success in all courses
Assist students with their Plan of Study
Work closely with UCO staff to verify dual-credit course sequencing
Students will have access to all UCO resources, including tutoring, counseling, library, Wellness Center, as well as other support services.
