Each year, our juniors are required to take the ACT exam in April. Having enough teachers available to monitor students and proctor the exam is always a difficult challenge for our high school sites. This, coupled with the need to create a quiet and uninterrupted testing environment for students to focus, can be very challenging for sites. These exam challenges led us to the decision to have a virtual learning day for those students who are not taking the ACT exam.

On April 6,

  • All junior students will report to their high school site, as normal. The state ACT exam is required for graduation, therefore even if your junior student has previously taken the ACT, they are still required to attend school and take the state ACT exam on April 6.
  • All 9th, 10th, and 12th-grade students will remain home for the day and complete their classroom assignments as directed by their teachers.

Individual sites and teachers will be sending out more information as we get closer to this very important date. We appreciate your support as we provide the best testing environment possible for our students to be successful on the ACT.
