Soon-to-be college graduates who plan to enter the field of education should make plans now to attend Edmond Public Schools’ Graduating Teachers’ Recruitment Reception. The event will be held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29 at the district’s Administrative Center, 1001 W. Danforth.
The event will give college seniors who expect to graduate with education or special education degrees in the fall of 2022 or spring of 2023 an opportunity to meet school principals and learn more about the competitive pay and benefits as well as enhanced mentoring opportunities offered by the district. The district is looking to hire several teachers both to fill current openings and to replace educators who plan to retire at the end of the 2022-2023 school year.
Area merchants have provided generous door prizes for the event and there will be food and beverages. The event is free but participants are encouraged by clicking on the following link and filling out the form.
